You need to go to the Sound card/Audio card manufacturer and download the
driver for your Sound card Specs.

These examples :
Software: Drivers & Utilities
http://www.realtek.com.tw/Downloads...=23&Level=4&Conn=3&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false

ADI SoundMax AC97 Integrated Digital Audio Driver
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsuppor...&swLang=8&mode=2&taskId=135&swItem=hd-17950-2

Either by using the command:
msconfig then Startup tab and unchck the check box for it there.

Or download this tool:
AutoRuns for Windows
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb963902.aspx

Locate this key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run = look in
the right pane/window and remove the entry for it "cmaudio"

Or in the windows explorer:

C:\Windows\system32\cmicnfg.cpl

Hi Tazz,
No, it will no a problem, you can take it off the Registry by using the
Autoruns or access the Registry editor by opening a run command and type in:
regedit click [OK] and locate the previous key then remove the entry.
Make sure you get the latest drivers for your Chipset/Motherboard from the
manufacturer website.
