Run Word 2002 in Word 2000 mode?

I'm writing a set of Word document templates for a client which is using Word
2000. I'm using Word 2002 for the work, and the client is experiencing
problems with running what I have produced, especially in relation to macros
which insert text boxes and coloured squares, and then auto-resize and
position them on the page.

Is there any way that I can force my Word 2002 to run temporarily in Word
2000 mode so that I can replicate and solve the problems?

Tools | Options | Compatibility should have a set of options for Word
2000. But manipulating stuff in the drawing layer might work differently
on two different installation even with the same OS and Word version.

If the problems persist, you might post some of the relevant code in one
of the .vba groups and get more advice. Maybe what you are doing could
be transferred to the bodytext layer?

Thanks for your reply. It didn't help directly but it gave me an idea...

Rather than trying to construct the text boxes and shapes in the document, I
could always have them pre-made in a seperate document which VBA opens up and
copies. The user would never know the difference...

Best wishes

Hi =?Utf-8?B?UGV0ZTMz?=,

could always have them pre-made in a seperate document which VBA opens up and
copies.
You could also consider inserting this separate file (keeps the clipboard
"clean") or save these things as AutoText entries right in the template.
