Scanning with word 2000 & 2002

The was my original question
When I scan a document or picture to word I can't see the whole document or
picture. I see the outline not the doc or picture. It only happens on one
computer which I just formatted. All the computers are running microsoft
office works suite 2000 and only this computer gives me that problem. Why???

Since then I removed Microsoft word 2002 and installed Microsoft word 2000
the problem was solved. I now can see the whole picture or document.. What is
the difference between the older versions? Why would Microsoft word 2000
display my scans without a problem and Microsoft 2002 gives me all that
trouble. Except for the scan issue it works without any other problems. The
Microsoft 2000 came with this computer I am having the trouble using the
Microsoft word 2002, but works fine in the other two computers I also have.
The Microsoft word 2002 software came with a computer I bought about a year
later with the same XP operating system. Any Answers?

The difference is that the one that doesn't display graphics has tools >
options > view > picture placeholders checked.

Thanks for the reply but I am not sure what you mean. On word 2002 place
holder wasn't checked either as in word 2000 someone suggested that. Even
with the place holder box unchecked it didn't work. Thanks any other
sugesstions on this
