Run-time

Q

Question Boy

I`m hoping someone can help me with 2 questions.

1. can I install run-time on a pc which has the full version of access?

2. Is there a way to use the full program typically, but as required use the
run-time for test purposes? How?

Thank you,

QB

A1: Yes, you can install the runtime on a machine that has a full Access
installed. However, there may be undesirable side effects, such as
versioning issues (e.g. if you install the runtime Access 2007 on a machine
that has A2003 installed.)

IMHO, it would be much better to create a virtual pc, and test the runtime
there.

A2: To test how an mdb behaves under runtime without actually installing the
runtime, create a shortcut that uses the /runtime switch, e.g.:
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\msaccess.exe"
"C:\MyFolder\MyFile.mdb" /runtime
