run command

Is the run command box the same as the dos prompt?

Hi,

It's a dos emulator, there is no "true" dos in a WinXP installation.
Functionally, it can be used roughly the same way.

Where can i find a list of commands i can use in the run

command window?

From the emulated DOS prompt, type, now get this.....

help

^----this is shift+\ (vertical bar) on keyboard

this will show one screen...use space bar to get next
screen

Enter "command-line" in Help and Support's Search box. In the search
results, click on "Command-line reference A-Z"

Well, thanks for the tribute, James. Lots of goodies but gosh, which ones
do you want? Hang out in the newsgroups when you have a bit of extra
time and you'll pick up plenty from all of the contributors! Am a firm
believer that having a good handle on the operating system is a good route
to making sure that everything else you want to run on the PC/network will
work as well and reliably as it can.
