Run Access

I have to write a small Access system which will be used by +/- 12 users.
All they have to do is enter a few data on the system everyday and once a
week print a report. I tried to do this on Excel as it was so simple but
because of the security I needed to put on the spreadsheet and also share it,
it didn't work properly. My problem is that not all users have got Access on
their PC and they have different versions of MS Office. Will the ones
without Access on their PC be able to use the system? If not what must I
do? I know for Access 97 there was a ODE version that you could buy but what
for Access 2000 and above?

Can you help me?

Thanks,
Danielle

for 12 people you'll need to use Access Data Projects

MDB isn't reliable for more than a halfdozen users

yes, the developer extensions are available.. however you might be
able to use office web components and data access pages to make
something simple that will allow data entry without needing to instal
anything...

i mean; what version of Excel do you have on the clients?

Apparently that is try for databases designed by Aaron. Most of us do
fine with a lot more.

That said, trying to allow over 200 (Access will accommodate more than
200 by design) would mean you would need a very clean application and a very
good LAN.
