Rules with Multiple email accountes

I'm running OL03. I have 3 exchange inboxes. When I let my rules run
automatically they only run on my personal inbox and not the other 2. If I
manually run them I can tell the rules to look in the other folder/inboxs and
it will run fine. I need it to always check all 3 inboxes. I'm at a loss.

Thanks
Fred

Noel,

I have them assisgned under "Tools/E-mail Accounts/MS Exchange
Sever/advanced/Mailboxes/open these additional mailboxes". Is this not
sufficient? I'm running the rules on my client so I'm assuming it should
check any incoming E-mail. I'm probably wrong.

Hi Fred
No you are not logging into those Exchange mailboxes directly you have just
added them as additional mailboxes to your profile, you will need to log
directly into those mailboxes individually by setting up a new profile this
is because Rules (unless ran manually) only act on items hitting the Inbox
of the default mailbox.

and they need to be server rules, not client rules....

Diane,

I'm not concerned about leaving my PC up and Outlook open. It is usually up
24x7 any way. I'm going to do a search under macros as I'm sure I can create
one that will run my rules wizard manually every 30 minutes and have it
select the inbox I want. If you guys have any input on that it would be
great.

Thanks

Rules wizard is not exposed in VBA - but you could write your own rules
engine... or buy one of the programs that supports their own rules - look at
http://www.slipstick.com/addins/auto.htm#special (I use Auto-mate - I
consider it well worth the $25 I paid for it. )
