Rules question..

Is there a way to configure a time sensitive rule in Outlook 2003? That is,
a rule that performs a certain action when a message arrives, but only if
that message is sent or received within a certain time frame. For instance,
a rule that forwards email to a backup receptionist during noon and 1pm
every day when the regular receptionist is out to lunch. The rule wouldn't
run outside of noon and 1pm.

Are there any Outlook add-ons that can do this perhaps?

Thanks in advance.

No but you can delegate the mailbox or set specific rules when the OOF is
configured.

The OOF only goes on specific date ranges, not recurring daily time windows,
so that really wouldn't help very much.

Sure it would help; when the receptionist goes out of lunch she enables her
OOF and the rule is activated.

Oh, heh, the receptionist thing was just an example. The "real" intent of
the rule is to forward emails to a different address after 7pm. Nobody is
in the office then, so this has to be completely automated.

Sorry about the confusion.

Still the same; enable OOF when you leave the office.

Scheduling the OOF can be done in Outlook 2007 with Exchange 2007.
