Rules in Outlook 2003

When I create a rule (for mail) in outlook 2003, I'm asked if I want to run
the rul on the current folder. I always answer affirmatively and ususally
the rule (moving message to another folder) does not take effect. What can
I do to fix this?

On a related note, why does the tule often contain "On this machine only"?
What is the significance of this phrase? What other machines is it alluding
to?

Thanks

Not sure on your 1st question but on your 2nd question the answer is if your
PC was on a domain you can have a RULE either run from your machine or on the
mail server.

So, when not in a domain, the selection "on this machine only" is
irrelevant. Thanks
