Rules - Don't want message from the Trash Bin

Mark

I have set up a rule to move messages from a specific user to a specific
user folder. I have receipicents to send me a confirmation message when they
read my messages.

When I receive these confirmation messages, I have set up a rule to move
them to a specific folder called "Delivery Confirmation."

Now, I can understand why when these two rules apply to a "read" message,
they both go to the specific user folder AND the delivery confirmation
folder. There is nothing I can do about that... Is there?

Also, when I see the "read" messages, I sometimes simply delete them. They
then get moved to the trash bin. The problem is, the outlook rules get
applied to the trash bin. The "read" message I just deleted gets moved to
the specific user folder AND the delivery confirmation folder.

Is there a way to set up the rules so that they DO NOT apply to the trash
bin?

Thanks for your input.

No they don't, if they're automatic. Automatic rules get applies to the
Inbox only.

Because you don't have the "stop processing more rules" action on the rule
that does the moving.

They don't.
