Rules don't run automatically

I have a few rules set up that were working but have
stopped for some unknown reason. No new
installations/upgrades have been done recently. I can see
the rules in the wizard and can run them manually from the
rules wizard and they do work when I do click on "Run Now".
But they don't run automatically when a new message
arrives. What is wrong?

Thanks,
BW

Same problem. I've been using Outlook for 3 years and have NEVER managed
to get the rules option to 'turn on' in spite of following the
instructions to the letter...

Ive just recently started to use Outlook seriously.

Im glad to hear the above cause I cant get "rules" to
work consistently either...and I thought I was loosing
my mind or something!

What version of Outlook and have you applied all of the relevant Office
Service Packs? How many accounts do you have and what types of accounts?

me too, me too. i'm glad we are all having the same
problem but does anyone have a fix? are there any MS ppl
viewing these threads?

i somehow thought (though haven't tested) that it might
have something to do with the order in which you have the
rules run... anyone know one way or another?

I'm using Outlook 2002. It's a company machine that
came with Outlook already loaded so I don't have the
original CD that's necessary to install the latest
Service Packs. I am current on the XP service packs.
The rules just stopped working a couple days ago for
no apparent reason.

Thanks,
BW
