Rules and System Tray Envelope Icon

Hi,

I have my computer set up to redirect emails from distribution lists to
seperate folders. Unfortunately, I usually receive them every couple
minutes, which puts the envelope in the system tray.

How can I set this to only show up when a message remains in the inbox?

Upgrade to Outlook 2003.

That feature was added in Outlook 2003 SP1, I believe. Up to then, the new
mail notification check ran before rules. With Outlook 2003 SP1, the new
mail notification check runs after the rules.
