RTF files - Open With ... Wordpad option

Office XP/2002 on XP SP2 fully patched. I want the option to use
Wordpad for RTF files. I want to right-click on the desktop and go to
NEW > RTF (via Wordpad). Right now, the New>Rtf context menu handler
calls Word 2002 to do the job.

I want both -- RTF files that will open in Word when I double click
them and RTF files that will open in Wordpad when I double click,
along with the option to New> in either version.

Can I have my cake and eat it too?

You can only have one application set to load when you double click a
particular file type. You can use Right click and Open With any suitable
application.
