rras on win2k workstation

H

Herbert

Hi,

anybody out there knowing how to configure rras on win2k ws? I want to
do NAT and managed to start the rras-service. I have asked 4 network
administrators but nobody seems to know about it; but everybody told
me that there must be a possibility.

Grateful for any help

Herbert

RRAS is a server only component. There are some items that can be done at a
workstation ( RIP Listener and Accept Incoming Connections ) other than
those, you need to have Server in order to install and use RRAS

On a workstation, the only option for NAT type operation is ICS
(Internet Connection Sharing).

And as an afterthought as Bill noted, Internet Connection Sharing which is a
scaled down NAT router.
