RPD protocol info

Chuong

I have XP Home client RD'ing XP Pro through Linksys
BESFR41 router with port 3389 enabled. Connection usually
got terminated within 1 minute. Both boxes are fresh
installs with SP1. On XP Pro, client connection
encryption level is enabled & set to Client Compatible.

A check in event log showed two types of messages:

1. The RPD protocol component X.224 detected an error in
the protocol stream and has disconnected the client.

2. The RPD protocol component 'DATA ENCRYPTION' detected
and error in the protocol stream and has disconnected the
client.

Does anyone have an idea what's the problem? What
protocol stream and what about the stream that offends RD
so much?

Please note that most of the time I was able to get in,
scooted around for a short while then boom, games's over.
Changing Experience options have no effect.

Also, on LAN connection, all goes well. This problem only
surfaces if I use IP address or DNS name for computer
name.

Thanks in advance

p.s. change to opposite of 'cold' for email.
