My PC keeps shutting down and displays a system error message saying that the RPC has terminated unexpectedly. Anyone knows what is going on and how do I fix it?

Asked at least once an hour; it's wise to search the group before
posting. "RPC" or "remote" would have revealed dozens of hits, including
this one...
