I am having problems starting RPC. When I try to start it manually, this
error occurs,( could not start the RPC service on local computer ). Error
1069. When I click properties, nothing happens. Any reason why this won't
start?

Thanks, Mike

Carey, I went to the link and got all the way to root in the registry but did

Error 1069 indicates a logon failure.

In the services management console in the properties for the RPC service
(NOT the RPC Locator service!) check under the Logon tab that it is not
set to interact with the desktop under a user authentication and that it
is enabled for the current hardware profile.
