RPC error -1722

Hi everyone,
I am having a strong headache with my computer. After
installing a sotfware that was designed to run on windows
98 and NT, and re-starting the system, I got an error
message saying that "There was an RPC error -1722". When
the message pops up the computer restarts up to the
desktop background with no shortcut on it and remains
there until I turn it off. I know that the problem has
nothing to do with the fact that the software was not
designed to run on XP, but I can't figure out the cause of
this problem and a way to solve it.
I would appreciate any help provided to regarding this
problem.

Install the fix, then reboot your computer.
