Hello, i got a D-Link DI-604 router that i bought to share my broadband
connection between 2 computers, the problem is that it doesnt get the inte
internet connection.
ive connected everything correctly and did the guide in the in the modem
(connected to the modem typing http://192.168.0.1 in IE)

i am certain i have a dynamik IP address and everything so i dont get what I
am doing wrong, this is my first time installing a router..

the two computers find eachother through the router

wow, feeling kinda stupid, made 3 posts and have to add that i have PPPoE
type of connection. what this means im unsure of, but it said it was built in
my modem

sry again for all the hazzle im making but im kinda desperate, D-link
support does not work =(

Hi - if you have a PPPoE connection, you need to configure your D-Link so
that it knows this - and contains the correct credentials for the
connection. Not sure from your post whether you've done that.

Re double posts - I don't see them, but note that this is one of many common
problems you may experience when using the web/CDO interface to these
newsgroups.

You might want to consider using a newsreader like Outlook Express or Forte
Agent rather than the web interface to the newsgroups - it's a lot easier to
do nearly everything there, including searching, which is always a good idea
to do before you post, as well as mark messages to be watched, and filter
based on replies to your posts.

The Microsoft public news server is msnews.microsoft.com and you can
subscribe to as many groups as you like.
