Router not allowing simultaneous connections

Dear All,
I am using a router to split my ADSL connection since we have three PCs at
the office. But it just doesn't work, only one computer can work at a time.
Who can help me solve this problem?

If that doesn't help, provide make and model of the router, and ipconfig data
for all three PCs, and we'll try to help you further.
Start - Run - "cmd". Type "ipconfig /all >c:\ipconfig.txt" into the command
window - Open c:\ipconfig.txt in Notepad, copy and paste into your next post.
Identify operating system (by name and version) with each ipconfig listing.

And please don't contribute to the spread and success of email address mining
viruses. Learn to munge your email address properly, to keep yourself a bit
safer when posting to open forums. Protect yourself and the rest of the
internet - never post your address unmunged.

Paranoia comes from experience - and is not necessarily a bad thing.

Some DSL providers (especially cable) only allow one MAC address to be used
at a time. Check to see if the router is sending its own MAC (or spoofing
ONE of the Pc's) the you should be able to use any number of machines on the
network simultaneosly.

Make sure that you've connected the ADSL modem to the router's WAN
(Internet) port. If you've connected it to one of the router's LAN
ports, then you're using the router as a network switch, not as a
router, and only one computer can connect to the Internet.

Indeed when the ADSL modem is connected to other ports rather than to the
WAN port, only one PC can be connected at a time.
But when I connect the cable to the WAN port none of the computers can
connect to the internet.

I followed your recommandations but so far it doesn't work.
But when the ADSL line is connected to a port other than WAN each one of the
computers can connect to the internet if the other is not.
The modem I am using is US robotics model 8000-02 MAC address 00C049A807B8
Basically what I do is when I connect the two PCS to the relevant router
ports, I configure the LAN TCP/IP properties accordingly: defaut gateway
set to the router internal addresss 192.168.123.254, and IP addresses set to
192.123.254.1 for the first computer and 192.123.254.2 for the second. Then
I fill the China Telecom DNS server addresses 202.96.209.6 and
202.96.209.133. What else need to be done?
I am thinking maybe it is the router that is not configured properly, but
there is no software with it on either PCs?
