Router in xp embedded

Hi all,

Can anybody please tell me how can I configure router on xpe, while I've
added "network routing" functionality in my image (its associated components
are also added). My target pc has lan cards.
Now I dont know how to configure it and how to make my target pc a ROUTER.

I have got two ethernet cards attached to my target PC. What to do next ?

Thanks for your time and help.

Sana,

This is general question and not really related to XPe componentization.
I'd recommend you to either read MSDN on the subject or post to windowsxp.general newsgroup.

Just a quick answer you can get if you use "route" command (make sure to add "TCP/IP Utilities" and "Routing Table Library"
components to your image)
For some brief description what you can do with Route command see these links:

Netsh "routing ip" and "bridge" contexts will also be helpful to you:

Hi KM,

I've got two LAN cards. My image does read them and have components for
routing. Now I just want to know how I can route traffic between these two
LAN card?

Thanks a lot for your time,

Sana,

That called network bridging (and routing if you need to set up specific network routes on your system). Please look at the links I
sent out in the previous post of this thread.
