Router in time warp?????

Hi, I have a TRENDnet ADSL Wireless Modem/Router TEW-435BRM and while
checking the internal settings I noticed it thinks that the current date is
2002/9/9, the time is also wrong. When I refreshed the page it jumped the 2-3
seconds that I had been looking at the page. The current firmware version is
ver 0.01.11, I've looked at the makers site to see if there is a newer
version but am not sure if one of the two versions available will be
compatible. My appologies if this is the wrong forum but you guys have helped
a lot in the past.

The website instructions for determining if the firmware is right for your
unit are fairly clear..

You also have a CD containing the 'manual' which should have instruction on
how to access the unit control panel, enabling you to correct the time..

Hi Mike, Installed the new firmware but still have problem (?) with time in
router logs. Tried the CD but no info on the time or correcting it. Any ideas
would be appreciated.
TIA

I'll try again...
Hi Mike, tried the CD but no info on correcting the time. Installed the new
firmware and now the router logs look like this...

Sun, 2002-09-08 14:26:26 - Send out NTP request to otc1.psu.edu
Sun, 2002-09-08 14:27:28 - Send out NTP request to ntp.nasa.gov
Thu, 2006-03-09 23:08:01 - Receive NTP Reply from ntp.nasa.gov
Fri, 2006-03-10 00:55:26 - Administrator login successful - IP:192.168.0.2

As it's now Fri, 10-03-2006 00:00:.....
Close but no cigar!!!

Check the manual found on the CD for info on logging into the modem/router
configuration utility

Open IE6 and type in the address bar 192.168.0.2

Enter whatever the manual tells you to enter

Now look through any tabs appearing in the modem/router config utility.. one
of them will have a section where the time can be changed..

yes, I've been into the routers config but can't see anything that points to
the time mode, other than the time it's showing in the logs. Silly Q but does
the router showing the wrong time make any difference?
