"Router Identity" on Domain Controller container object

Hello All,

I have googled and no one has any info on what this is and what it does.
Basically, one of our DC's crashed and it was beyond repair so I had to do a
metadata cleanup. When I went to ADSIEDIT to delete the computer object, I
knew it would have FRS subscriptions, but it also had this other sub-object
called "router identity" so, the class is rRASAdministrationConnectionPoint
but these weren't RAS servers. I have another DC in the domain which also
has it, it is up and running fine. As the first DC was dead and would never
be accesible again, I decided to delete the DC computer (container) object
for the dead DC. Nothing bad has happened, but can anyone tell me anything
about this "Router Identity" leaf object?

Thanks!!!!

I don't know anything about it really, but that object is the connection
point for RRAS:

I have never seen those objects created except when the RAS software is loaded
on a server.

I too have only seen this on computer objects that have had RAS enabled. I'd
say it's a safe bet that you can delete this object safely if the computer is
no longer part of AD, or no longer has RAS.
