Router for Cable Internet - Cheap Insurance?

I'm not really sure what features that would be. Beyond the
IP-remapping thing (NAT?) I can't think of any function that the
router would serve. I don't have any other computers and I wouldn't
want to do any sort of remote-access thing. Pretty much just hide my
computer from the folks wanting to connect to hacked IP ports.
