I've been playing with rounded corners (and all the associated features)
in FP 2003 for a couple hours now, and I still can't figure it all out.
Is there a tutorial somewhere that explains all this?

Thanks.

Thanks.

1. Display the Layout Tables And Cells task pane.
2. Draw a layout table.
3. Click the Draw Layout Cell (not the link) and then
drag the mouse pointer across part of the layout
table. This will create a layout cell.
4. Make sure the layout cell is selected.
5. Display the Cell Formatting task pane.
6. Click the Cell Corners and Shadows link.
7. Under the Corners, find the Apply section and click
one or more of its icons.

The concept is that the layout table is a drawing canvas,
and layout cells are areas that contain the actual site
content.

Mr. Buyens:

Thanks for the help. After playing with all this for a bit longer, I
now have a new question.

Is there any way to convert existing tables or cells into Layout tables
and cells?

All I want to do is set some rounded corners. This seems complicated,
what with cell headers and cell footers and border sizes to contend
with.

Thanks again.

You can only create rounded corners in FP2003 when you first create the table.

To convert an existing table into a layout table:

1. Right-click the existing table.
2. Choose Table Properties from the shortcut menu.
3. Select Enable Layout Tools and click OK.

However, I don't believe there's any way to convert existing cells in
to layout cells.

All in all, layout tables and layout cells representing a new way of
positioning content. And unless you're willing to buy off on that
entire concept, the Rounded Corners feature in FP2003 isn't going to
do you much good.
