rotating images - please help

In Windows XP fax and picture viewer, although there are
buttons for rotating the image on screen, they don't do
anything.
All the other buttons work but, even though the clockwise
and anticlockwise rotate buttons 'move' when you click
them, the image remains the same.

any ideas?

thanks

Here's a simple fix you can try:

If you previously checked "In the future do not
show me this dialog box" when a dialog warned
about the possibility of reducing the quality of
your images, the following fix may restore your
option to rotate.

Open a picture in the Windows Picture And Fax
Viewer. Hold down the Ctrl key and left click the
X in the top right corner of the window.

If that did not restore your option to rotate...

Try this:

go to...Start / Run and type:

"REGSVR32 SHIMGVW.DLL"
(without the quotes)(Yes, there's
a space between 2 and S)

Click...OK.

I have noticed that the zoom and rotate buttons don't
work on a picture larger then 3Mb....
