Room booking and billing system

I've been asked to produce a booking and billing system, using Access
2000, for a complementary health clinic. The clinic has several
treatment rooms which practicioners attached to the clinic can book --
and for which they get billed by the day or the hour depending on their
contract with the clinic.

It's going to form part of a larger application.

Anyone know any articles/websites I might usefully take a look at before
I start trying to reinvent the wheel?

Take a look here. There are several db model/maps. The one on nursing homes might fit the bill for you.
