P
Panic
I previously posted a problem I had with losing Free Space on my hard drive.
I found the culprit was Rollback RX Pro which provides a backup of the hard
drive. I was down to 13GB free space on my C: drive even though I had moved
large amounts of data from my C: drive to my external drive. I was not
gaining Free Space by removing data. I removed Rollback from my computer
and my Free Space became 54GB.
I have found that is a natural thing when using Rollback. Because the
removed data was included in a previously memorized "Snapshot" and was being
retained in case I might later wish to return to the hard drive data of a
previous date, I was not regaining Free Space. Rollback hides those removed
files so as not to confuse the user. On their web site I have found several
ways short of removing Rollback to gain Free Space when I wish to. I can
combine several older Snapshots or make a more recent Snapshot the "base
line".
I will try to follow up and advise if this corrects the "problem" I had
before.
