ROLL BACK FROM VISTA TO XP

HI,
few days back i upgraded from XP to vista on my Desktop pc. After some
days,trying to rollback to XP once again from Vista was installing XP.
Soon sytem rebooted. But after it rebooted no boot destination was
detected.
what kind of problem was this?

While there is usually an upgrade path from one version Windows to its
successor, there is no downgrade path. You must re-install WinXP.
