Hi

Disadvantage of Singer server domain controller
If server fails that is either hardware or software your entire network
will become useless. You cannot access the any network resources like file
and print server any share on other computer. Your network will become
active only after you re setup the server. Even though you install server
trough the back up you will lose active directory data which was changed
after the backup.

Advantage of additional server is that if first server fails second server
will take care of the network. End user will not get affected with the
server failover.

If you have many client systems in network and if you feel logon validation
takes more time during the busy hours (Like office starting time) then in
such a scenario additional server will off load the first server (Logon
validation balancing)

There is no need of synchronizing data base between the two servers. If
your installation is perfect and if there is no problem it should happen by
default
