I have users who are having problems with their desktops. If they delete
stuff from their desktop, it comes back when they log on next. Therefore
they are ending up with loads of junk on there. I have checked permissions
and all seems OK there... What can I do about this?

If they didn't have appropriate permissions to their profile folders, they'd
get error messages at login. Are they? Doesn't sound like it from your
description.

1. How big are their profiles folders?
2. Check for userenv errors in their event logs

Profiles should remain MINISCULE. Do not store anything on the desktop &
also redirect My Documents to the user's home directory via GP.
