Roaming profile kills Outlook profile

M

Max Harvey

Hi,

Instaled Outlook XP, set up accounts, a few extra .pst files, etc.
Loged off, loged back on (same machine), and it couldn't find the
files.

The roaming profile went to something like username.001, whereas last
time it was username.000, and outlook was pointing at the wrong place.

2 questions,
1: slightly off topic for this group, but why didn't the profile go to
tje same place

2: on topic, how to you make outlook (XP) look in the current profile,
whereever it happens to be stored this time?

Thanks.

Max,

I don't believe this is an Outlook issue. It sounds like a roaming profile
issue. If you can't resolve the roaming profile issue, then I suggest
putting the users' .pst files on a network share (that will always be in the
same location). We don't recommend putting .pst files on a network share but
sometimes it's the only solution.

By the way, are you using a Novell or Windows network client?

Thanks,
