Just paid my road tax. They asked me a question at the end of it.

Well what they expect?

My next car will be one which is either zero rated or under £20a year road tax.
Was going to get a Freelander or Range Rover but road tax nearly £400+

I don't pay no vehicle excise duty not none whatsoever cos mostly as I don't own a motor.

But as I miss sitting for hours in congested traffic, dodging kamikaze cyclists and getting into arguments with other road users who may suffer road rage and stab me to death, I sometimes hire a vehicular conveyance.

Lottsa fun :)

If I ever do deign to drive my own personal motorised transport again I shall buy a titchy wagon that don't attract not no income to the government. Maybe a Fiat 500, if they're exempt, they come in nice colours, they do.

Trouble is that it's all going to change in a couple of years, but only on new cars.
Get your new, or second hand, car before the deadline arrives and you stay on the old payments
Then keep the car as long as possible. :)
