NAV installed under an operating system (OS) that was upgraded without first uninstalling NAV. The Rnav2003.exe utility does not remove a version of NAV if it was installed under an OS that was upgraded without first uninstalling NAV. For example, the Rnav2003.exe utility does not remove NAV if it was installed under Windows 98, and then you upgraded to Windows XP without uninstalling NAV. In a case like this, you must remove NAV manually. For more information on removing NAV manually, see the list of links at the end of this document
and there is no document at the end for removing version 2003 of Norton Anti Virus from XP

I don't have the link handy, but search symantec for removing registry
items. I had to do this when upgrading ME to XP. there are a lot of registry
items to delete.
