Risk in deselecting prompt to save normal template in Word?

I keep getting asked to save changes to my normal template when I close
Outlook - are there any dangers in deselection "Prompt for changes to normal
template"?
 
Yes. If you deselect it, you give Word permission to save Normal.dot without

The discussion you referenced doesn't seem to help with version 2007. I did
look at my Word startup folder and I see nothing in it. This error message
started popping up recently and now comes up every time I exit a document. Do
you know of any fix? Thanks.
