Currently any user can F12 at boot up, enter their Username and Password and
get a list of available OS from the RIS server. I understand that they can be
stopped installing the images through simple NTFS permissions on the image
but can I stop them even getting the list or accessing anything?

We are a school and it will be just the IT dep't who image machines.

Hi Fabrussio,

I have at the moment no real solution to your problem but I had a quick
shot. Disable the network boot option in the BIOS for all PC's and use the
RIS start disk which can be created with the RIS boot disk creation tool. I
will check tomorrow which rights are necessary for accessing the boot menu
and maybe I'll have a better solution for you later!

So long,

Alex
