RIS, RIPrep and missing applications...

Hi,
I am at my wit's end here, I hope I'm missing something obvious.

I am trying to deploy Office XP using RIS. So I run riprep on my
prepared client machine. The client machine has service packs, fixes
and office 2003 installed.

When I browse the image on the ris server, I can see all the
applications listed in the mirror1\userdata folder. However when I boot
up a new client with the image, it recieves the OS perfectly, but with
no applications.

I must note that I had to copy the i386 folder from an XP CD to the
i386 folder for the new image-- despite having never encountered this
instruction in the documentation-- before the image would work. That
doens't seem right: that it is *installing* the OS as opposed to just
copying the image to the new machine.

Any ideas at all would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance, Adrian.

Recently purchased new machine, am trying a clean install of XP Media Centre.
Was prompted to insert "Service pack 2" Disk on installation, and that
Windows would need the disk to install properly. Went ahead anyway. When I
got into windows there was no help, troubleshoot internet explorer, etc. Help
icon is there but when I click on it computer can't find file. Have installed
drivers, but can access the internet or LAN. Have home network and broadband.
All other PC's fine. Can't update without internet access. Have since
installed service pack 2 from another computer but still to no avail.
ARRGH!...Please help someone!
