RIS on 2003 Server, XP and Broadcom NICs

I am trying to use RIS to deploy 190 new HP/Compaq desktops with Broadcom 57
Gigabit NICs. Problem is in the text portion of the setup. I have tried,
without success the various posts around including the howto at
http://www.wug-nordic.net/articles/ris-add-nic.htm Nothing seems to work.
One thing I noticed in following Johan's how to is that there does not seem
to be .pnf files created on my image. Is that an indication that I have
something more seriously wrong with my image? Any help or pointing me in the
right direction would be appreciated. Would using a Windows 2000 server for
the RIS help at all? Any really good howto's or articles?

We had the same problem with Intel1000 and Broadcom. What solved it was
copying the drivers (*.cat, *.inf, *.sys) into the i386-folder in the image,
and restarting the binlsvc. This did not, however, solve the problem with
the NIC in the GUI-phase. Setting a path in oempnpdriverspatch did not help
Windows find the NIC-drivers (see description in your link), and so Windows
did not have a NIC when it started. We had to add the NIC manually
afterwards.... This took time.
