After building my RIS image and Riprep'n it to the RIS server i try to drop it onto my machine, it all drops ok but Citrix wont connect for clients. After looking into it i found that USERS didnt have write access to

\Registry\Machine\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MSLicensing\HardwareI

But they did before i RIS'd the PC, i checked the permission of the RIS image on the server and they were correct

Why would this be changing when the image is being brought down

Thank

Dean

Sysprep has been known to tweak a few security settings, especially in
the registry. Don't know why RIPrep would be any better or different...

Is RIS supported for deploying Server OSes now? It wasn't last time I
checked, but that wasn't recently.

James,

RIS can deploy server images now.

Did you copy the user profile to the default user profile before running
RIPREP?

Yes and everything works fine before RIPREP is done, i can add new local users and they can use citrix.

Hey Dean, did you ever get a resolve for this??? We are just now havin
this issue after using RIS for years to deploy Citrix based PC's. I hav
tried everything I know of including granting "authenticated users" R/
rights befor pushing it up. I have also posted on TheThin.net, citri
and Microsoft forums with no response???

Very odd. If you could, shoot me an email @ (e-mail address removed) i
anyone has a resolve for this
