Right click Zoom anomaly

T

Terry

I would be grateful if someone could help me solve the following anomaly.

I have just set up a new Windows XP machine with ie 6. My old machine is
win98, also with ie6. On one particular (important to me) site
(www.moneyextra.com) which produces graphs I can, on the Win98 version,
right click on the graph display (which I am told is a GIF image) and Zoom
it. (The right click menu is - Open link......, Save picture......,
Cut......., Zoom in, Zoom out, Properties). However, on the new XP machine,
the right click menu at exactly the same place produces the same menu but
excludes (not greyed out) the zoom options. How can I get my zoom back
please?

Many thanks for any advice - I'm sorry if I'm missing something simple but I
rather hope I am!

It's possible that was the IE 4.0 (W98) powertoys feature.

There are new powertoys for XP but I don't see the zoom one.

MS are always cautious (quite rightly) about which utilities work with what
so I suggest you search MS for "Powertoys" and see if there's a collection
you want - then decide if it's worth the risk to try installing them. Mostly
the XP powertoys won't work with anything else because they simply check and
if it's not XP refuse to install, but I have found that a lot of the older
ones still work. Personally if it was me I think I'd give the ones I wanted
a try and hope for the best but obviously I can't advise you to do that :) I
also can't find that set of toys on the MS site any more - did you keep a
copy if that's what it was?

Sorry, I am a bit pushed for time so wait for other replies in case I have
this wrong.

That was in : Internet Explorer 5 Web Accessories
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/previous/webaccess/ie5wa.mspx
you will have to alter the zoom option as per:

Thanks from me too, seems I had lost a couple of those links and didn't have
time to look last night :)
