Right click problem

Peter

Hi

Since I have installed XP service pack 2 I have not been able to right click
on desktop icons. What happens instead is the pointer changes to the
hourglass...the bar at the bottom of the screen disappears and after about
30 seconds the screen comes back to normal and still no right click options
are available.

Thanks

Hi Peter,
Right-click is slow or weird behavior caused by context menu handlers:

Other problem is with DivX installed.

There is also this explanation and temporary fix (apparently DivX plans to
release SP2 compatible versions of their products soon) available from FAQ
section of DivX Support:

Thanks for the link, Patti. Came across that sometime ago when I was
searching their forums.

So sorry about that........I had looked over the forum thread that you had
posted, but hadn't checked out the links that were posted in responses,
specifically the link that was posted in DigitAI56K's second response, which
turned out to be the same link for which I posted the TinyUrl
I guess his/her following remarks ("Follow the steps for
installation...........") had me assuming <<DON'T SAY IT!!!>> that the link
posted was for installation instructions.
