Right click on folder refreshes windows

Hi All
Hope someone can help with this very annoying
problem,when I right click on a folder the timer comes up
and then the desktop is refreshed and all system tray
icons other than my av and za and networking icons all
disappear. Have run numerous virus scans, trojan scans
etc have run sfc /scannow, hijack this and spybot but the
problem still persists. Please can someone help me I will
be eternally grateful.Thanks in advance
