While previously using Windows XP and now that I am using Windows Vista,
whenever I right-click in some text fields, I am presented with "Open IME"
and about three Unicode options, which I do not need, as I only need cut,
copy, etc.
I asked this question in the Windows XP Discussion forum because of how I
said I ran into the problem while running Windows XP and so I thought the
answer would be the same using either operating system.
I tried someone's suggestion of running some kind of shell extension
program, but that did not help because I did not find anything related to
IMe/Unicode/Regional Settings/Keyboard Input at all in that program when I
ran it. Then somebody posted another suggestion, but it was dealing
exclusively with Windows XP so it did not help me. I kindly replied back
saying these things and I got a backlash from people saying that I should
look in the Windows Vista forums (which frustrated me because I had told them
that this is an issue in Windows XP as well), and that I shouldn't waste
people's time or something when I did nothing wrong.
So if you know some way of disabling these options from the right-click
context menu, I'd appreciate it.
Thanks.
