right click explorer crash

hey, my comp is very screwy lately. if i right click a folder and copy
it, or just right click it, its fine. but if i try to paste or right
click once again the whole explorer will crash leaving no icons on my
desktop. then it will reload everything back up. can you tell me how to
fix this, i have no clue what it is and its making me mad :mad:

What version of windows are you running? If you're using Win XP, try
creating a new profile or logging in as guest to see if it happens in
another profile. You could have a buggy profile.

Right-click crashes are usually context-menu related. First, check the Event
Log:

Click Start, Run and type eventvwr.msc
Select Application entry in the left pane
In the right-pane, look for the Error entry denoted by a Red X

Sort by date and track-down the entry based on what time the error exactly
occurred. Locate and double-click the entry and you'll see more information
in the resulting dialog. Click the copy button at the top and copy the whole
event and paste it to a Notepad document and save it. Post the information
here.
