right-click bad on a optical mouse

I have a MS wireless optical mouse that is ~1 to 2 years old. It
started to have problems with the right-click a few days ago. It does
not activate consistently. It works sometimes but most of time it does
not work anymore. I can sometimes push it harder for it to work but
even that it does not work consistently. My right-click is fine. It's
strange that less used element would get broken sooner.

I opened the mouse and found the sensor (?, a square object with a
button pushable at top) below the plastic thing. I pushed directly on
the sensor and found it was very insensitive compared to the left-
click one. So maybe it's mechanical failure.

Does anyone know the warranty period for mice Microsoft sells? I
checked their web but couldn't find customer support #. They charge
$35 for any questions after 6 month. With that price, I can get
another new and better one. Is there a separate way to contact
customer service (not tech support)?

thanks for any information.

That`s a micro switch (mass produced) and it`s on its
way to the great mouse graveyard.
Get a new mouse.

Try Google. It's your friend. I found the answer in about 5 seconds.
