Reviving from Sleep

Can anybody recommend how to recover from the sleep function in Vista? I run
Windows Vista Home Basic on a HP Pavilion notebook with 2 GB RAM that is
programed to sleep after 1 hour (no use). Unfortunately nothing brings the
computer out out of sleep and I have to reboot to resume computer function.

On one of my PCs I have to move the mouse, on the other I have to type on
the keyboard. It has to do (I think) on whether or not your motherboard
accepts USB actions while in S3. If neither of those work you can try
something to give a system interrupt, like maybe opening a drive bay (such
as a DVD drive) or maybe using one of the special keys on the notebook that
don't appear on normal keyboards. On many notebooks, some of the keys work
even if the PC is completely off, I would try one of these if you could.

There all are just troubleshooting guesses though...

On my laptops I have to hit the power button to bring the PC out of sleep
mode. Have you tried that?
