I'm still, after all this time, intrigued as to how an individual judges one AV or malware program as better.
Just because you've used one program for five years and you haven't contacted the digital equivalent of yellow fever doesn't prove that software is particularly good. Could just mean you've been sensible and lucky with your browsing practices.
I honestly think if people like the look of the interface and they don't get infected they'll vote their AV software as good.
The true test, of course, comes when you actually encounter a nasty but successful or non-successful, the average user won't have anything to compare that encounter with.
This is where online independent test reviewers come into their own.
Assuming, of course, they don't take back handers.
