reverting back to 2003

I had upgraded to Office 2007 at the time I was getting ready to move to
Vista and found it terribly slow in XP. Having had problems with a couple
of critical programs to my daily life, I've had to delete Vista and start
over with XP. I did have the foresight to copy my various files I wanted to
retain but forgot about the new file system and, thus, my Outlook PST from
the 2007 installation doesn't show up. As I already know installing and
then trying to remove 2007 and move back to 2003 doesn't work worth a darn,
I don't want to have to go through in installation followed by a format and
yet another "fresh start" so I'm wondering if this problem has happened to
enough people that someone has some up with a method to get a 2007 PST
converted to 2003 or, possible, get individual files/data from it?

Thanks,
Tim

There's nothing really to convert. Outlook 2007 and Outlook 2003 use the
same Unicode format PST.

Thanks...I'm so red faced: when I'd saved the pst's before the reformat, I'd
inadvertantly saved them in a different location from the others so when I
tried to open my backup pst's, they weren't there and, thus, I thought 2003
couldn't "see" them.

I guess this is why you MVP's get paid the big bucks...what's that? You
DON'T get the big bucks??? ;-)
