Revert back to before Windows installation

I recently re-installed Windows Vista In doing this, the old copy was saved
as Windows.old on a harddrive on the re-installed version. After doing this,
I realized a lot of my programs (and special features) were gone and now I
would like to revert back to the Windows.old copy. Is there any way to do
this?
