Reuse the existing

IE 6

When reading the various national and local news sites with IE Ver 6, some
will open an article in a new window and some will reuse the existing
window. How can I force it to use the existing window?

Under
Tools/Internet Options/Advanced tab. "Reuse windows for opening shortcuts"
is checked however I believe this only affects shortcuts accessed in
Outlook, not when navagating in IE Explorer.
 
I'm having trouble with IE6 never reusing windows from shortcuts. Hoping for
an answer, as 30 or 40 windows up at a time bites when clicking potential
dates in emails. :)
